I am a Minnesota gal through and through. I take pride in growing up in the boondocks, but take on city life full force. I just finished my masters degree in forensic psychology in Spring 2022 with most of my work centered around sexual violence. I've worked a number of jobs, including a halfway house and a criminal investigations intern.

I am an Aries, INTP, enneagram type 5, whatever personality category you use! I am basically an ambitious, driven, analytic type gal based on any test I take.

I never believed in "the one" until I met them in 2018 when we were a part of the same friend group. My partner is a New Yorker (and no not the city but it's red headed step sister Buffalo, go Bills). We have been together for 5 years and get married in August of 2024, I couldn't imagine my life without him. This is what drew me to photographing couples.

I think that there is something so special about capturing the way we interact authentically with our lovers. And I mean ALL LOVERS, as I am one for the girls, the gays, and theys.

what inspires me

inspiration from the world

“A lot of my inspiration comes from nature, and it is my favorite place to work."

I find myself to be a self-acclaimed "dirt-bag" or in simpler terms, someone who just freaking loves the outdoors. Growing up in northern Minnesota with family who spent a lot of time doing different outdoor activities really sparked my love for hiking, skiing, playing hockey, fishing, you name it. That's why within my business you see a lot of inspiration pulled from our surroundings. I believe our Earth is precious and needs to be protected.

With that being said, a lot of my inspiration comes from nature itself. Taking photos in beautiful locations is really just something else.

I really adore humans just being humans as well. One of my favorite things to do while traveling is just to people watch, and see humans being humans. There's something so beautiful in just day to day interactions.

MY FAV THINGS

Vanilla lavender lattes, fantasy books, weightlifting, traveling, and more...

The biggest thing that connects me to the individuals I work with is the stuff that we have in common. This gives us a chance to really open up and talk about our passions and get to know each other on a deeper level.

My favorite things include lavender vanilla lattes, a good thunderstorm, a delicious craft beer, a warm fuzzy blanket and an exciting fantasy book. As an active individual, I have been weightlifting since I was 16 and still continue the hobby!

My passion from travel has an interesting beginning. When I was young my family didn't vacation. So once I started college, I vowed I was going to start seeing places. In 2018 I got invited to Colorado for a Spring Break trip, and since then I have been to 24 states (previously I had only been to the states surrounding MN and Florida).

Since I have planned a lot of these trips on my own, I am an amazing trip guide and can find a good deal anywhere. I can totally help you plan your trip too and hopefully you'll bring me along. ;)

Rain, hail or shine, I won’t miss a beat

Like I said, I am a laid back gal. But that does not mean I am lazy by any means, I mean hey, I built this business while I was in grad school for something completely different from photography! I have photographed over 75 weddings in the past 3 years (whaattttt) so I have gotten quite the experience.

I try to arrive 15 minutes before my start time for your wedding day to help familiarize myself with the area if I hadn't already. I will usually arrive with some sort of caffeine in hand, and get ready to take on the day.

I will come find you and chat with you to see how you are feeling, and if we are ready to go. Sometimes I will spend sometime chatting with your wedding party and family as well just to get know everyone.

For most of the time, I will be a fly on the wall capturing moments as they happen as I don't like to fabricate moments too much. Sure we will pick a pretty spot for these moments, but otherwise I just like to be there documenting everything. For portraits, I usually like to get the general photos and then move into a little more editorial posing if you'd like! I use a mix of prompts and direction to help you know what to do in front of the camera.

BEHIND THE LENS

MY story...

Here's a little more on my story about how I got to where I am as an elopement and wedding photographer.

I grew up in a family of photographers. My father and grandmother both having professional cameras while I was young, so as you can imagine I got pretty comfortable in front of a camera at a young age.

My parents decided to buy me my first camera when I was 13, and I took a few courses while in high school. Fast forward to 2020 when I was in college pursuing a forensic psychology degree, I did a photoshoot with some friends. I decided to post an ad to Facebook marketplace for "cheap photography" and was shocked when people wanted to book me.

From then on, my business has kept growing and growing and I have made more connections and learned more life stories than I had ever imagined. By 2025 I will have photographed over 100 weddings and served over 200 different couples and I couldn't feel more blessed to be pursuing something 13 year old me dreamed of.
