HEY, I'M MADDI!
I first picked up a camera when I was really really young, talking like kindergarten young. It started with bringing disposables to birthday parties and summer camp, and eventually moved onto a digital point and shoot camera. When I received my first iPhone, it was when I began editing my images (circa the start of the Instagram era). Eventually, my parents purchased me my first “professional” camera at the age of 13. My friends and I would get dressed up and we would go do photoshoots, so I learned how to pose people from a very young age. The business side of things technically started when I was in high school, when I started taking senior photos for pay.
Another tidbit of my lore is that my mom discovered my name at a wedding! My parents were wedding DJs in their first few years together, and at a wedding my mom (who was pregnant) said there was a little girl on the dance floor who was so cute and she loved her name “Madison”. So technically speaking I have been a wedding vendor since the WOMB.
I want you to feel fully present on your wedding day, and to enjoy each and every moment. This is one of the only times you will have all of the people you love in the same room.
When you trust in me, it leaves me room to create the true master pieces. I can move freely through a wedding day, capturing artistic images with you trusting me and not going by a shot list.
My absolute favorite moments of a wedding day are when you are as authentic as you can be! I can only get you so far with the poses and the prompts, to get those stellar personality photos, it’s up to you to be your authentic self.
