A Colorful Backyard Wisconsin Wedding | Mallorie + Aaron

Mallorie and Aaron’s backyard Wisconsin wedding in Rosholt was a total vibe. From the moment I stepped into their parents’ place, I could feel how personal and laid-back the day would be. Mallorie was all for documentary style—she didn’t want anything stiff or overly posed. She just wanted the real moments captured! The whole setup was really impressive, especially since they did most of it themselves. You’d think a pro came in to design everything because the space looked that good, but nope, it was all them bringing their vision to life in the most colorful and meaningful way.

Mallorie and Aaron’s Bold and Beautiful Backyard Wedding

Mallorie and Aaron’s backyard setup was beautiful–bright, bold colors everywhere, with florals popping against the greenery. They had DIY details woven into the day; you could tell how much thought went into every corner. Honestly, it was full-on Pinterest-worthy. Mallorie rocked this stunning off-the-shoulder dress with lace detailing tied perfectly with her veil. It’s elegant but still fun—just like them. It reflected their personalities, especially considering their love story. These two met on a dating app during COVID, only to realize they grew up just 15 minutes apart. Fast forward to their dreamy proposal at Lake Como (yes, in Italy, no big deal), and now here they are, tying the knot with all the color in the world. And the petal exit at the church? Perfection.

A Traditional Church Ceremony and a Backyard Wisconsin Wedding Reception

Their ceremony was stunning. It was held in this gorgeous Catholic church with white and gold detailing, arches, and stained glass windows. Afterward, Mallorie’s dream of a tent wedding came to life in the backyard of her new in-laws’ Wisconsin home, and it was everything. The vibrant florals everywhere made her bridesmaids’ unique white dresses pop. These two are also models for Leinenkugel (the beer brand), so we had to get a shot of them with a can—because why not? The reception was just as fun as you’d expect, with dancing, laughter, and even a polka song that Mallorie’s grandpa helped produce (how cool is that?!). Everyone was so present, just living in the moment, and no one was camera-shy. They all fully embraced the day!
