Colorful Minneapolis Club Wedding

Ali and Steven found me through one of my past brides (bless referrals forever). Sure enough, once we got talking, we uncovered the wildest small-world overlap: I actually grew up with her cousins! They’ve been together for over nine years, but have known each other since fifth grade. They bounced from Minnesota to Philly for a few years, came back home with their pup, Dewey, and somewhere in the middle of all that, Steven proposed up north at Ali’s parents’ cabin. She originally dreamed of a tiny ceremony up there, but ultimately, after some emotional back-and-forth, she realized they wanted to be surrounded by all of their friends. That decision shaped the entire vibe of this day. A Minneapolis Club wedding turned out to be the perfect solution for what they envisioned. The venue blends that old-school, architectural grandeur with just enough flexibility to let color absolutely pop, which Ali was very much ready for. She wanted bold, fun, joyful hues. Just bright, modern, celebratory energy layered over this elegant, historic backdrop.

Colorful & Chic Minneapolis Club Wedding Details

Ali came into this day with one clear intention: color, fun, joy, no beige energy allowed. And she nailed it. I knew the moment I walked into the bridal suite and saw that bright, illustrated invitation suite and pink everywhere.

Her florals were a lush, bold mix of corals, pinks, peaches, and pops of deep burgundy. And the Minneapolis Club, usually this calm, elegant, ivory-and-warm-wood kind of venue, handled that explosion of color like a pro. The contrast was incredible. Ali’s dress was Stunning, and Steven matched her energy with the white jacket, which he wore well.

It was pretty aggressively hot outside, so we pivoted, which honestly highlighted just how versatile the Minneapolis Club really is. We moved most of the portraits indoors—lush staircases, huge windows, cozy bar, the classic wood-paneled rooms—and every single corner delivered. When we did sneak out to the courtyard for a bit, they handled the heat like champs.

Their Floral-Forward Wedding Ceremony

Steven’s face when Ali walked in… He had that expression that only happens when you’re watching your actual favorite person walk toward you. And the room could feel it. Their vows were where the whole room collectively unraveled. And then they were married!

The good vibes carried straight into dinner, where the color palette came alive even more. The tables were lined with bright florals and flickering taper candles. When Ali and Steven made their grand entrance, the crowd was already electric. This reception reminds you why weddings should be created for the people in the room who actually matter. These two built a beautiful day that felt true. And that’s the good stuff.
