When it comes to choosing a wedding venue, you want to pick one that suits the vibe that you are going for. Your venue is one of the most important factors when it comes to how your photos will turn out.

My Favorite Minnesota Wedding Venues
Catalyst
For this Minnesota wedding venue, we travel to north to Brainerd hidden among the lakes and trees you will find Catalyst by Nature Link. This venue offers every Minnesotans dream of the lakes and woods that Minnesota is so well known for. Catalyst has the perfect modern Scandinavian architectural vibe, and their ceremony spaces are to die for.
Clyde Iron Works
Next we make the trip up to the beautiful shores of Lake Superior for more amazing Minnesota wedding venues. Clyde Iron Works is an old malting building situated just outside of downtown. It offers an exposed brick vibe, with equally beautiful industrial features!

Northern Pacific Center
To the Brainerd area, we land upon this gem of a Minnesotan wedding venue. Previously an old train yard, and lots and lots of buildings, this venue offers endless photo opportunities and spaces for you to have your wedding. The chandeliers and string lights are no doubt a fan favorite!
The Aisling
Okay, so I know that this one is *technically* in Wisconsin, but it’s so close to the border that it might as well be in Minnesota. This venue is on a golf course so there is lots of outdoor space here! This venue opened in 2023 and has really taken the wedding community by storm. Their nonetheless stunning reception space is amazing featuring large windows and white walls. The ceremony space is outside on the greens with some trees surrounding it for privacy from those golfing!

Rustic Roots Winery
A hidden little gem of a winery in Scandia Minnesota, this is an undeniably perfect spot for the southern Minnesota brides! First of all, the wine here is incredible, but secondly the views of the rolling hills of the Mississippi valley are stunning. This venue does have a couple of options for ceremony and reception spaces, but I would recommend having it during the summer months to ensure rain doesn’t ruin your day!

- Pinewood – one of Minnesota’s top tier wedding venues, this is a luxury modern space with the most gorgeous ceremony backdrop! Located in Cambridge, MN.
- Bavaria Downs – this space will be opening their third venue called Woodland Glasshaus in 2025, and has so many on site photo locations that are just stunning. Located in Chaska, MN.
- Redeemed Farm – I am not one who usually photographs barn weddings, but this one I would for sure make an exception! Located in Scandia, MN.
- White and Sable – A brand new wedding venue created by a wedding videographer so you know that photos here will turn out amazing. Located in Ham Lake, MN.
- Ivy Black – another modern barn venue that offers the most stunning backdrops and gorgeous spaces! Located in Saginaw, MN.
- Hutton House – the beauty of this venue surely should speak all for itself. It has to be one of my favorites out there that I’ve seen.
- The Wexford at Emerald Greens – another golf course wedding venue, and their reception space is absolutely killer. Located in Hastings, MN.
- Woodhaven – an obviously beautiful modern venue alongside a golf course. This space holds endless photo opportunities. Located in Cannon Falls, MN.
- The Outing Lodge – a hidden gem of a mansion with very old money vibes, with a large backyard space for the most beautiful outdoor ceremony. Located in Stillwater, MN.
- The Skyroom – a stunning wedding venue overlooking the Mississippi valley. Located in Red Wing, MN.
- Riverhaven – a quaint venue alongside the Red River with a modern appeal indoors with lots of spots for photos. Located in Moorhead, MN.
- Abella – a modern take on a barn wedding, with tons of different spaces. Located in Chisago City, MN.
