FLORIDA BEACH WEDDING WITH EDITORIAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

My journey with Rachael and Kyler started when they hired me to capture their fall engagement photos. They loved them so much they couldn’t resist asking me to tag along and document their destination beach wedding in Florida. They tied the knot right in the heart of their favorite stretch of sand, between the shores of Clearwater and St. Pete. After scouting, they discovered the perfect Florida wedding venue in the charming nook of Indian Shores.

Arriving two days early, I lucked out and found a cozy Airbnb just down the way from the venue. This place was beyond adorable, with a mix of colorful buildings that would make any Instagram feed Pinterest-worthy. I stumbled upon the ultimate morning fuel at Indian Shores Coffee, conveniently stationed by my Airbnb. I ended up coming back every single morning. So, if you find yourself in this neck of the woods, I highly recommend it.

RACHAEL + KYLER’S BEACH WEDDING IN FLORIDA AT CIVITAN BEACH HOUSE

Florida turned up the heat, even though it was technically still “spring.” I met Rachael at the VRBO where they were staying. We kicked off the day with some getting-ready photos, capturing the excitement on the balcony. The bridesmaids and Rachael’s dad joined in for a heartfelt first look. Stepping outside, we followed a small boardwalk to the beach, where Rachael and Kyler shared their first look.

With the first set of photos complete, we moved to the venue for more couple portraits, wedding party shots, and family portraits. Luckily, the skies remained overcast until the ceremony, creating a GLOW for their 4 pm vows. Their sandy aisle was hugged between two dunes that led from the venue to the beach. Rachael and Kyler shared their intimate ceremony, surrounded by their 50 closest friends and family.

Post-ceremony, we retreated to Civitan Beach House to savor delicious tacos and drinks. After the first dances, we went down to the beach to seize those beloved golden hour photos. Although the sun played hide-and-seek behind the clouds, it made an appearance just as it began its descent below the horizon, casting a dreamy glow. As we finished, the wedding guests joined us on the beach for a sparkler-filled finale to an evening full of intimacy, beauty, and thoughtfulness. Being a part of Rachael and Kyler’s special day was an absolute honor.
