THE VAN DUSEN MANSION AND EVENT CENTER: A LUXURY WEDDING VENUE

Built-in 1892 for George Washington Van Dusen and his wife, founders of Minnesota’s first and most prosperous grain firm, the Van Dusen Mansion has a rich history. In the 1940s, someone sold the estate outside the family, leading to its transition to commercial use. Finally, in 1994, facing demolition, an investor stepped in to purchase and restore the building to its original beauty.

The mansion has everything elegant you can think of—gorgeous woodwork, Persian rugs, stained glass windows, and charming chandeliers. It offers five main areas for weddings and events: the groom club room, the jade bridal suite, a ballroom accommodating up to 250 guests, the carriage house for your dream wedding dance party, and, of course, a courtyard for your intimate garden ceremony.
